At the intersection of tradition and youth, just past Mount Pleasant Street, lies Orquesta Manplesa. Named after the Spanish pronunciation of Mount Pleasant, this vibrant salsa band focuses on keeping the musical tradition of Latinos in Washington D.C, especially in this historic neighborhood.

Don’t let their ages fool you – the District’s youngest salsa band boasts a collective 5 music degrees from Berklee College of Music, Conservatory Nacional De Música (Dominican Republic), Towson University, and Kenyon College.

Boasting a surgical horn section, captivating lead singers, and a groovy rhythm section, Orquesta Manplesa will always deliver an unforgettable performance and keep you dancing all night.
